We want you to be happy with every order from Smolaelan. If something isn’t right, here’s how we’ll sort it.
Returns
We accept returns within 14 days of the purchase date, provided items are in their original, unopened condition with all original packaging intact.
To be eligible:
- Food products must be in their original sealed packaging
- Skincare and cosmetic products cannot be returned once opened, for hygiene reasons
- Items must be accompanied by proof of purchase
Your consumer rights
Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 are not affected by this policy. If a product is faulty, not fit for purpose, or not as described, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of the above conditions.
How to Return
- Email admin@smolaelan.co.nz with your order number and reason for return. We’ll issue you a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging and include your proof of purchase.
Write your RMA number clearly on the outside of the parcel and send to:Smolaelan — Returns

Return shipping costs are your responsibility. We strongly recommend a trackable courier service — we can’t be responsible for parcels lost in transit.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund or exchange within 7 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and may take an additional 1–2 billing cycles to appear on your statement.
You’ll receive an email confirmation once processed.
Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrived damaged or is defective, contact us at admin@smolaelan.co.nz within 14 days of receipt, with photos and a description of the issue. We’ll arrange a replacement or full refund, including return shipping costs where applicable.
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, you have the right to a repair, replacement, or refund for faulty goods. This cannot be limited by a retailer’s returns policy.
